The brigade of GUENANGE has been created July 11, 1953. It took possession of its local present, suited in center-city, Place of the city hall, December 1st, 1978.

        Its present strength is 13 soldieries placed under the command of an adjutant (+2 MDL/C + 7 policemen + 3 associate policemen). The brigade looks after the security of a population in full expansion, encoded to the last census to a few 13500 inhabitants, resident townships of GUENANGE, BOUSSE, BERTRANGE and RURANGE LES THIONVILLES.

        The volume of business that it is amnenée to treat annually, room among the most active units of the precinct of THIONVILLE.

        Rattachée to the canton of METZERVISSE, the circumscription of the unit benefits the school, social and commercial infrastructures that assure a comfort of life of most appropriate (a professional high school, a college, several primary schools and maternal, several physicians general practitioners, two pharmacies, three mini-markets, etc...)

        In short, GUENANGE, that borders the Moselle to the west, is placed ideally between METZ and THIONVILLE.
