- CREATION AND GEOGRAPHICAL SITUATION

        First station connected to the brigade of AUDUN LE TICHE, the brigade of OTTANGE takes its definitive appellation in 1973. Its strength is then 05 non-commissioned officers.

        OTTANGE is situated to the north of the precinct of THIONVILLE, in border of border luxembourgeoise. The brigade is implanted street of the dam, next to the church and the high school Professional Saint André (UTM coordinates: 32 UKVS 84075 08955) to less than a kilometer as the crow flies of Luxemburg.

        - EFFICIENT AND MISSIONS

        The personnel is composed of an adjudant that orders the brigade, of a MDL/C, of two policemen and two associate policemen. The state police assures missions of public security and the surveillance of the border.

        - DEGREE OF ACTIVITY

        Fairly loaded Brigade, its activity increased of considerable way these last years in all domains. The daily and important flux of inhabitants of the border zone as well as the delinquency of passage explains him.

        - CIRCUMSCRIPTION

        The circumscription covers a surface of 47m² and understands 4 townships that are : OTTANGE, ROCHONVILLER, VOLMERANGE LES MINES and ESCHERANGE that make part of relate them of FONTOY and CATTENOM. It writes down itself in a quadrilateral of 8 km of large on 6 km of top. The north limit is the border Luxemburger (12km); a third of the territory is forested.
